Far above the Arctic Circle lies a land of glaciers, fjords, and untamed wilderness, where mountains plunge into crystal waters and the endless summer sun bathes the tundra in silver, rose, and gold. Discover the remote Svalbard archipelago aboard the Aqua Lares the Arctic’s first icebreaker superyacht open to both charter and cabin bookings and sail through breathtaking landscapes in search of polar bears roaming the pack ice, walruses basking on secluded shores, and colonies of puffins and guillemots along towering cliffs.

Itinerary & Experiences

  1. Longyearbyen – the world’s northernmost settlement, located on the island of Spitsbergen in the Svalbard archipelago. Begin your journey with a guided exploration of this Arctic outpost, surrounded by glaciers, mountains, and the stark beauty of the tundra. Learn about the area’s history, wildlife, and scientific research initiatives before embarking on your expedition.

  2. Spitsbergen Fjords – navigate the stunning fjords of Raudfjord, Liefdefjorden, and Kongsfjorden. Zodiac excursions offer close encounters with glaciers, towering cliffs, and the chance to spot Arctic wildlife, including reindeer and seabirds.

  3. Pack Ice & Polar Habitat – venture toward the edge of the drifting pack ice, home to polar bears, walruses, and seals. Observe these magnificent creatures in their natural environment and capture rare wildlife moments guided by experienced naturalists.

  4. Gravneset & Smeerenburg – step ashore at Gravneset, the site of one of Svalbard’s largest 17th-century whaling cemeteries, and visit Smeerenburg, a historic Dutch whaling station. Learn about the Arctic’s exploration history while taking in the surrounding landscapes and wildlife.

  5. Bear Island – a protected nature reserve boasting towering cliffs and thriving seabird colonies. Zodiac trips and guided walks reveal puffins, guillemots, skuas, and other seabirds, while the island’s rugged terrain provides dramatic Arctic scenery.

  6. Scottish Isles (Optional Extension) – on select itineraries, continue south to the Scottish Isles, where you can explore the Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis, visit Fingal’s Cave, and discover the wildlife and heritage of St. Kilda.

For your comfort and safety, the itinerary may be adjusted due to weather or at the captain’s discretion.
